The primary objective of this assignment is to develop a critical understanding of the main contextual and conceptual issues related to enterprise and economic development, through an investigation of the literature and a range of relevant case-study examples. On successful completion, the assignment will enable you to meet the respective learning outcomes of the module. Of key importance in this assignment is your reference to and use of case-study of a country or region to illustrate the key issues. These examples can be drawn from a range of sources but their relevance to your main arguments must be effectively demonstrated.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
An introduction to report should address itself directly to the question or topics you have been asked to discuss. Be able to explain the purpose and rationale of the report.

2.0 MAIN SECTION
2.1 Background of the country or region: In this section, you should choose any country or region of your choice and give explain the background of the country or region.

2.2 Analysis of small enterprise creation – You should analyse and evaluate a country or region’s enterprise stock profile, identifying the critical factors influencing small enterprise creation in the country or region and problems surrounding new small enterprise creation as a tool of national (or regional) economic development. (Provide a good discussion, analysis of the country or region reflecting on key theories you’ve learnt in class; and where possible use data and graphs from secondary reports to amplify your arguments).

3.0 CONCLUSION AND IMPLICATIONS
The conclusion of the report should draw together all the previous points of your argument into one general statement, which is then directly related to the report topic or the question you have been answering. You conclude the report by identifying the key factors you feel influence small enterprise creation in the country or region, and the key problems. Also draw implications (lessons) for entrepreneurs in terms of the benefits or challenges then can face for starting a business in the environment. Or you can draw implications for government policy makers on how they can improve the environment for small enterprise creation.
