NEED FOR SECURITY

 What are the  security measures a middle-childhood kids should take to avoid bad habits?

 Middle-childhood is usually an enjoyable moment for many children (Cherry 2011). This is due to autonomy and wider friendships as children acquire curiosity in sports, music or talents. Nevertheless, many children between ages eight or nine begin to dwindle in class performance. Those who manage the academic challenges in this period may continue to perform better while those who fail to manage may never recover in academic performance. Some children may develop such social trends as high rates of school aggression; some may have disorders in eating, drug abuse and depression. The eating disorder comes as a result of being denied some of the privileges the rest are enjoying. The child may restrain from food resulting in malnutrition while others may have a craving for junk foods due to plenty of food available leading to obesity (Keith 2011). This is to make for the time the rest adolescent are out there playing and the lack of activity resulting into obesity. The drug abuse may result from what they see other people doing like smoking cigarettes or taking beer hence curiosity to test and feel good like the grown ups. Therefore, pressure is usually on administrators to identify these exertions in the children and teach them life skills that can assist them in developing into vigour adolescence (C.D.I 2010).

Coach Spencer should not allow Misty to play football until Misty reaches an adolescent stage where he can now have the ability to identify what is wrong and right. As a middle hood child Misty can easily fall into the above mentioned challenges which the parents might not be impressed about. The parents and the coach can find other activities suitable for him to avoid further dilemma like the child falling into depression due to denial of his interests.

Moreover, as mentioned earlier Misty has a right to be allowed to play football like any other boy to help him grow physically, socially and mentally. Through interaction with the age group he will be able to develop into a healthy young adolescent. There is a high probability that he can still excel in his academics (Spirit Lake Consulting, inc.2010).

However, continued monitoring of Misty by both parents and the administrators is necessary to be in a position to counter the challenges that may pursue the child…………
