Major approaches to managerial communications

After completing the above readings, you are ready to map out the three major perspectives of managerial communication: 1) The Classical Approach; 2) The Human Relations Approach; and 3) The Human Resources Approach. A working knowledge of these perspectives will be extremely useful throughout your Master’s program and specialization in Managerial Communication. ?WRITE A 8-12 PAGE (DOUBLE-SPACED TYPED) ESSAY on the topic: “Three Major Approaches to Managerial Communication.” Write 3-4 pages for each of the three managerial communication perspectives: ?The Classical Approach
?The Human Relations Approach
? The Human Resources Approach

For each of the three perspectives, devote about 3-4 pages, including a paragraph on each of these 6 subtopics: ?Who are the key individuals who introduced the perspective (founders, pioneers)?
?What assumptions, if any, are made about how to best motivate workers?
?What part does communication play in the perspective? (downward, upward)
?How are important decisions made using this approach? (who makes the decision)
?What are the strengths of this approach? (when is it likely to be effective)
? What are the limitations of this approach? (when does it fail, what problems arise)
