How does work schedules and work/life balance affect employee productivity and retention?
Paper instructions:
I need a paper that answers the following questions/purpose statement: How do employee work schedules, vacation time, and other organizational efforts to achieve a work/life balance help companies with productivity and retention? Would employees be more productive on the job if they were on the job less? How does our vacation time accrual and what we actually use affect our performance? Would working a shortened schedule help in retention? What exactly is needed to achieve a healthy work/life balance? What kind of changes are companies making to find this balance, and how are those changes affecting the productivity of the workers?
The introduction should include the purpose statement which should introduce the topic question and discuss why the topic is important. The introduction should include a description of the issue, and who is impacted by the issue. The introduction should include why this issue is important to study, and to who this study would be important to, and who benefits from this study. The introduction should also include the consequences of allowing the issue to continue, such as healthcare costs, and less productivity. The introduction should be 4-5 pages in length.
The body of the paper should include an introduction, which will only be one paragraph. The body should contain a review of the literature used in the research and how it pertains to the purpose statement. This should be 10-12 pages in length.
The second part of the body includes a discussion of the literature, and in this part the purpose statement plus the review of the literature should answer the questions/purpose statement. The questions should be answered in this part of the paper and should be 2-3 pages in length.
The last part of the paper includes the summary/conclusion of the project as a whole. This should include a recap of the purpose statement and recommendations based on the literature not on personal opinions, and a conclusion of the overall project. This should be about a half a page.
The paper does need to be APA format with 12 pt times new roman font, double spaced, with 1 inch margins. Citations are needed throughout the paper as well as a reference page, in addition to the 20 pages. Also a title page is not needed and is not included in the 20 pages. No more than 10% of the paper should be direct quote. Stay away from personal opinions or conclusions. Paper must be written from scratch as I will be checking for plagiarism. I do have a starter list of four references that can be used in additions to the ones you find on your own, I will be attaching them in the upload additional materials spot. References should be scholarly articles, journals, etc. No wiki or simple Google searches.
