As a student of International Business Management, you have been invited to write a report to the Executive Team at The School of Language, Literature, and International Studies to address the strategic issues facing the School as it continues its drive for international expansion.
The Executive team at SoLLIS is keen to develop its international presence further to expand its operations into new markets. They want to offer their services both in the UK (Preston) and abroad.
Task:
Your task is to decide which market they should target. You will also need to decide which specific area within the School they should promote.
Process:
You need to carry out the following tasks in order to complete the assignment:
? Carry out an internal and external analysis of the School, and the potential markets it intends to enter or markets it wishes to bring to the UK. When completing the company analysis we suggest you use the appropriate analytical tools discussed in Semester 1.
? Make an informed recommendation as to which market (country, region, city or town) would be most suitable for entry or for inward investment, based on your research and current management theory/ thinking.
? Decide on the target market e.g. Literature students, EFL students, Executives, etc.
? Devise a strategy you would recommend them to follow.
