• Must use at least 3 sources from the material in our textbook (Writing and Reading Across the Curriculum 12TH EDITION) – CHAPTER 15 THIS IS THE NAME OF THE BOOK

Acceptable sources include but are not limited to:

Expanded description:

This assignment asks that you support an argument on the subject of marriage and family. Your essays can discuss different concepts regarding traditional versus modern marriages, gay marriages, and spouses’ social roles. Choose relevant and reliable sources, and where possible, use a variety of types of sources. In your attempt to convince your audience about your opinion, you can draw upon historical records, expert opinion, and logical reasoning. It is important to create a balance between the three logical, emotional, and ethical appeals when presenting your argument. Consider your purpose for writing your essay, have a specific claim that the whole essay revolves around and attempts to prove, and think about effective use of your resources. Make sure that you have an outline that lays out the line of your though and formulate an argument strategy that explains and governs the points of your argument.

• Clear introduction, transitions, and conclusion
• Must conform to the general standards of Written Standard English (spelling, usage, grammar, punctuation)
Formal requirements:

• APA citation style throughout
• 1200- 1300 words (post word count after body of essay)
