Exercise: Evaluation of the Nurse/Client Interaction
Purpose: Apply formative evaluation to the nurse/client interaction.
Directions: Discuss the following situations and describe how you would handle each one as the educator.
1. Share a personal experience about learning a new information or a skill. Then identify teacher behaviors during the experience that facilitated learning and teacher behaviors that interfered with learning.
2. Discuss how you would change the behaviors that interfered with learning into behaviors that facilitate learning. In other words, how would you have handled the situation to achieve a better outcome?
