Karen just took over a unit that seems to be somewhat out of control. She has been tasked with cleaning up the Department. –Clerical staff are using the internet for personal use. Facebook usage is out of control. Staff have informally asserted privacy rights.
–Professional staff have cell phones and informally assert privacy rights during their 24-7 use. It is the manager’s perception that many staff have given up their personal phones, even their land lines. They argue that they are informally on call 24-7.
