Examine works by Nietzsche’s “the gay science: thus spoke zerathustra” and Nitobe’s “bushido: the soul of japan.” Analyze how their portrayals of manhood can be seen as examples of romantic heroism. Where do their ideas converge and can a universal perspective be gleaned from this convergence.
